My Art Marketing Tips

I love painting bamboo art and one of my best seller is this style and color. I just sold another one few days ago. This is a huge size bamboo painting on a moonlight scene. I compared the bamboo with our soul. The bamboo is flexible and it does not break because they are empty inside. The same way that we have to be empty of things that are worldy to be able to be filled with the divine essence that strengthens us.

Been Busy Lately!

It's been a busy week! When I came back from my vacation in New Jersey I was swamped with work that I have to do especially preparing my up-coming art shows this April. It looks like I have 3 shows coming up. That means lots of paintings to prepare and show. One of them is that I was invited to join and exhibit my work with two other artists in a cultural festival of music, food and art in one of the five star hotel resorts here in Costa Rica hopefully this April, The Springs Costa Rica. My Red Hibiscus Painting In Progress

This is my new commission painting of two big red hibiscus flowers acrylic on canvas in big size. As you can see in the photo the image is not detailed yet. This is just the first base of colors. I did the sketch and texture first then I applied the first layer of colors. Right now I have progressed ten times more than this. I will be showing you how it looks soon. Actually before I begun I went outside the park and took photo shots of the real hibiscus flower. This serves as my reference while I paint.



The day of the hearts is fast approaching! I painted a tuxedo cat with a red flower on her head. I thought about using this image as a Valentine's Day card. You can buy a few to send to your loved ones!

Just Finished My Bamboo Painting

I have not been active blogging for a while for the same reason that I'm always
busy preparing my art for my scheduled exhibits. Above you will see a few photo
of my successful art exhibition called Embrujarte Art Expo in Escazu, Costa Rica.

River Of Life Fantasy Art Print

I am currently getting myself ready to paint and be ready for my next art show
this Oct. 26, Nov. 22 and Dec 10-15, 2008, but as an artist I have to be inspired
in order to start painting creatively. So what I did I am opening myself to ideas
by going to the malls, strolling, walking in the garden, browsing coffee table
books, etc. I love painting nature and expressing what I believe, "exchange
of love in nature". Love is actually hidden in nature. So I think a surrealistic
style is best to express this idea. I am thinking of a flower with
hidden faces. This will greatly symbolize my gaol. Do you have

My Art Show Explosions

Finally I have the time to write about my last art show. I was so busy few weeks ago that I did not even have the time to blog. From my art shows to my trip to New Jersey my time to blog diminished. But anyway the most important thing is my successful art exhibition. The above photos were the last ones held last August at Antigua Aduana in San Jose, Costa Rica. A lot of people came and stopped by my booth to see my latest original paintings of flowers and tropical landscapes in huge sizes.

My Blue Rose Watercolor Painting T-Shirt

I want to show you one of my work done in watercolor which I did few years ago.
This is a little surrealistic in approach which make it an original. As you see
closely you will notice a figure of a man and a woman. What makes it unique
also is that the color of the rose is blue and one of a kind. The title of this

Heliconia Tropical Flower Painting

As I promised this is the actual painting of different types of heliconia flowers tropical original painting I did. The picture is not quite big and clear but if you will see it close up you will notice small frogs and hummingbirds. This is a big painting with a size of about 48"x48" done in acrylic paints. I will show this in my coming art expo on August. I am still thinking on what to do next. A surrealistic tropical forest landscape or a huge trunk with orchids. I will let you know which one I am inspired to do.

River Of Life Print Art

It's been a very busy week and I can say that I have progress so much that I be finishing my big painting commissions this week. After this I will be painting another big one in acrylic. I am still in the process of thinking what to paint. Maybe a bunch of heliconia tropical flowers. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Sold Orchids Original Painting

I have not been blogging for a long time already! Sorry for not doing it frequently as before. The good news is I've joined a couple of art expositions. Just recently I was invited to join the Plaza Del Sol Art Expo for fours days in the city of San Jose, Costa Rica. It was a success! I sold a couple of original paintings and prints.

Few weeks before this I was at the International Art Festival held at La Sabana, San Jose, Costa Rica. One of the highlight in my show is this original painting of white orchids on a tree done in acrylic in triptych huge canvases. Everybody who stop by and visited my booth loved this painting. In a very short time during the show this piece was sold with a handsome price tag. Currently I am working on a similar piece commissioned by a family who is going to give it as a gift to their mother. I will be finishing this in a few days.

I have been busy these days attending one of the biggest art festival
here in Costa Rica, "International Art Festival" in La Sabana, San Jose,
Costa Rica, April 11-20, 2008. For those of you who might be wondering
where is Jude, this is where I am stuck at this point. I am meeting new
prospects and selling my original paintings and prints. It is a fun thing
to do as an artist. I've learned a lot also on how to sell my art in the
public and in what way I can improve my art in the creative and the business
side. Above is one of the original painting that I sold last year's art fair.

art exhibition, but with white orchids instead of purple ones, in acrylic
