Been Busy Lately!

I have been doing a lot of commission art lately that I have no time to post. Finally I am finished with my biggest project of a huge triptych bamboo painting. With this I have a little time to relax and post here what's new in my art. Below is my pink phalaenopsis orchids flower watercolor painting that I did long time ago which you can now purchase as postcards. I just sold 100 pieces of these from a buyer in California. I also have the opportunity to do a solo art show at The Alta Hotel here in Escazu Costa Rica. My paintings are exhibited for the whole month of June.

My Bamboo Paintings In Progress

I was busy with painting jobs plus I did an art show which kept my time away from blogging. Right now I am taking this opportunity to post my latest painting commission of a big triptych bamboo acrylic painting. A buyer who has a house in Florida saw my work online and asked me to do this art for her new home. This is rendered in acrylic paints in a realistic style with no texture. I am excited and enjoying a lot working on this. Hopefully in the next two weeks I will be done.

My Art Marketing Tips

I love painting bamboo art and one of my best seller is this style and color. I just sold another one few days ago. This is a huge size bamboo painting on a moonlight scene. I compared the bamboo with our soul. The bamboo is flexible and it does not break because they are empty inside. The same way that we have to be empty of things that are worldy to be able to be filled with the divine essence that strengthens us.

Just Finished My Bamboo Painting

I have not been active blogging for a while for the same reason that I'm always
busy preparing my art for my scheduled exhibits. Above you will see a few photo
of my successful art exhibition called Embrujarte Art Expo in Escazu, Costa Rica.
I have another one coming this whole month of May at Alta Hotel, Escazu Costa
Rica and another one on May 7 to 11 Viva El Arte at Plaza Del Sol, Costa Rica.

In between this busy schedules I was also commissioned to do a big bamboo
original painting in acrylic. My big phalenopsis and birds of paradise paintings

Inspirations Behind Bamboo Painting

I just want to let you know that the concept or idea behind my paintings is about this thought, "There is a relationship of love in all created things". I paint with a spiritual and inspirational meaning. This was purchased by a wonderful american couple from Costa Rica during my art show last month at Art Expo Escazu in Costa Rica. Below is my artist statement that explaind my inspiration behind this bamboo painting.

MOONLIGHT BAMBOO

There is a relationship of love in all created things! If you will
observe the bamboo inside and outside it has a spiritual meaning. The
bamboo symbolizes the qualities of God. If you will open and cut one of
the bamboo shoots you will see that it is empty and hollow inside which
gives their nature to be: pliable, graceful, grows fast, long and
perfect as if to reach heaven. It always points upward towards the sky
and even at night it glows with the reflection of the beauty of the
moon. The moon cast its light to show the beauty of the bamboo
and eventually brings this elegant and magnificent scene.

Like the bamboo we have to be empty of anything that is not of God
interiorly and exteriorly so that we can be filled with God's divine
qualities to make as strong in virtues with His divine strength. Like
the bamboo we have to have always the intention to love looking only on
the things of heaven and not the things of the world. We have to have
the spirit of joy within us and even in times of trials we have to
become the joy of Jesus like the beauty of the bamboo in the darkness
of the evening tinted with the lovely glow of the moonlight. We have
to radiate the peace and love of God like the silence of the tranquil,
blue tinted night embracing the graceful lovely bamboo.
Praise be Jesus Christ!
